Ladera Ranch Scout Snow Camp Out 01-30-2009. We took the tram out of Palm Springs to 8,400'. Hiked 2.2 miles through the snow and up the mountain to 9,100' (took three hours). Camped in tents, managed to stay warm, had some great grub. No wind, perfect sunshine and amazing scenery!!! Topped off with snowball fights and an incredibly beautiful hike down the mountain.
